Aisha Jamila Hinds is a popular American actress. Her fame is due to her role in the TV show The Shield, and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has proven her versatility in acting by performing outstandingly in TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Anna's role as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 was her first big breakthrough. It was however her role as feminist campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally made her an actress. Hind received praise for portraying Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show for a 3rd season. Hind completed filming recently for the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is scheduled to release in the middle of 2019. The father Krishnaraj is an Army scientist who passed away on March 18, 2017. The mother Vrinda was a homemaker. Aditya Rai is her elder brother, is an engineer in the merchant marine industry. Her older brother, Aditya Rai wrote and co-produced Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. Her family relocated to Mumbai in the city, where she attended Arya Vidya Mandir.
