Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003, and was signed by Adidas an agreement as a professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, defeating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently in the top three of athletes in her respective events.
